I am hoping to get answers from people who know about Hinduism…and just to clarify, Ganesh is the Hindu Elephant God.
I would like to know if Ganesh has any connection or association with the singing bowls.
Thank you for the wise answers in advance!
Oooh Funkybud, good answer!
I love Ganesh, I have a statue of him and I have a Tibetan singing bowl. I was moving some stuff around and happened to sit them together and something just energetically clicked for me that I hadn’t noticed before. So…I was wondering if it was something well known and I just didn’t know about it…or if it was a more subtle connection. Thanks!
I’m planning a trip to Bangkok very soon, and my friend asked me to bring her back a large Tibetan Singing Bowl. You know- those big metal bowls that make a musical note when rubbed with a wooden striker? She’s kind of a new-age hippie, and she asked if I could bring her one back.
Now- where in the heck can I find Tibetan Singing Bowls for sale (at a good price nonetheless) In Bangkok? I’ve been to BKK several times, but I cannot recall ever seeing these things for sale. I suspect they’d be popular, given that they’re commonly used in Buddhist practice. If anyone knows, your input is much appreciated. Thank you.
here’s a photo of a guy with several:

I recently bought a huge Tibetan singing bowl from eBay - great price, and the piece is very impressive. I’ve read a little about these singing bowls- they’re supposed to have curative healing powers. How do I play the bowl properly to gain maximum benefit?
The bowl I bought is tuned to ‘D’ - the sacral chakra., if I’m not mistaken. It sings very easily- I barely have to touch the outside rim with the wooden striker before it starts humming.
Thanks for your help.
Please tell me what you know about the Tibetan Singing Bowl.
Does anyone know of a place in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to purchase a Tibetan singing bowl?
I need to buy a (tibetan) singing bowl, and other meditation supplies.
I don’t know where to buy one in the Memphis area, and I’d prefer not to shop online– can anyone help me find a place?
