Fun-Spot Fun Park began as a small amusement park in 1985. With nothing more than a merry-go-round, a slide, pony rides, and an ice cream stand, Fun-Spot grew into a popular family attraction with 20 rides, a restaurant, and an outdoor performing arts theater.
“My wife, Gail, and I didn’t know what we were getting into,” commented Ron Hart, the owner. “We just knew that weekenders coming to the lakes in our rural area represented an untapped market.”
Today, thousands of visitors flock to Fun-Spot—families, children of all ages, even senior citizens who enjoy strolling through the gardens and arbor.
“There’s something here for everyone,” Gail Hart said with a smile. “Dozens of companies hold annual company picnics here. We have welcomed class field trips. And we even had one wedding here at the park!”
“Here’s the funny thing,” Ron chimed in. “We really don’t know why we’ve been so successful! There is nothing else like Fun-Spot Fun Park in the area. We were just lucky.”
“I think it’s the ambience of the park,” Gail added, “that has brought so many visitors. We provide a ‘total package’ of entertainment. Plus, we try to change our rides and various attractions from time to time.”
Ron and Gail admitted that making every visitor happy is a priority. “That has always been our philosophy,” they said. “And we’ve always been able to deliver on that because we’ve never allowed ourselves to grow too big too quickly.”

I asked a girl out and she said she would go out. I severly lack in the dating dept so I’ve been trying to figure out good first date ideas.

I found out she likes the outdoors so I’m thinking about a picnic as a first date. I am a little iffy however because we’ll be somewhat alone and I don’t want to "scare" her off or try to seem too intimate. I want to take this date as a way to get to know more of each other and really see if there is a connection. I already told her it would be an outside activity but haven’t told her it would be a picnic.

So, would a picnic be a good option or no? If not what good outdoor activites are there that would let us communicate. If so, what are some good tips?

I have outdoor motion detectors installed on my house but have an area about 200′ from the house that I would like place a motion detector but have no electric there. I saw a wireless motion detector that can be placed away from the house and it will cause a chime to go off in the house. My question is: Does anyone know of a system like this but instead of having it set off a chime in the house, can it activate one of my outdoor lights. That seems more effective, especially if I’m not home?

Based on the 2 good responses to my question, please allow we to refine my question a little.

I do have a solar system that I use in a different part and that works well. The problem I have is that I don’t want the lights themselves in that part of the yard because they can be vandalized in that area. My ultimate goal is to have the detector back there where it will not be noticeable and have it trigger the spots on my house which do shine back there. Some of these types of systems appear to use a technology called X10 but I can’t seem to find any that trigger outdoor lights remotely, just chimes. I was just hoping someone found one and was successful with it.

I want to build some large pipe or tubing chimes for out doors, I want to use 4 to 6 inch tubing or pipe. These would not be wind chimes, but you would strike them with a mallet to make sound. Any formula for makings notes c,d,e,f,g,a,b,c ?
